CORONIAL LAW
ETB Legal have a specialised practical knowledge and experience with matters in the NSW Coroners Court. Many practitioners in this state will not have much experience in this specialised area of the law.
Uzma Abbas has acted for countless family members while practising with the Legal Aid Commission NSW in coronial inquest matters that has arisen from tragic deaths of young persons in care, swimming pool drownings, to adults in custody, hospitals and mental health facilities.
Inquest matters in NSW are held all over the state and are subject to specific law. They are not criminal or civil proceedings, but inquests may lead to further proceedings in other jurisdictions. The current law for NSW is the Coroners Act 2009 (NSW).
